Cathryn Brady (Owner and Managing Consultant)
Cathryn is a career and personal development coach, with extensive experience in career transition, outplacement, executive coaching and psychometric testing, both in a one to one and group setting.
Cathryn’s skills have been developed over a period of nearly 20 years in the healthcare/pharmaceutical business, most recently at senior management/board level. She has held positions in a variety of areas including research, sales & marketing and communications. Her experience spans global pharmaceutical companies, independent consultancy and start-up operations.
Through her broad experience in various aspects of business, and strong interest in people Cathryn has come to identify that a clear, motivated goal setting process, positive attitude, and good work-life balance are key criteria for success. Cathryn is passionate about the realisation of people’s full potential, and developing people out of and beyond their comfort zones. Her philosophy is that fulfilment and satisfaction in one’s work or career not only reaps its rewards to the individual but also to the organisation at large. Her coaching style is empathetic, yet challenging, practical and results oriented.
Originally from a science background, Cathryn holds an honours degree in Pharmacology from UCD, and an MSc in Biotechnology from UCG. She later went on to receive a Diploma in Management from TCD and a Diploma in Public Relations from the Irish Academy of Public Relations. She is a qualified Life and Business Coach and is recognised by the British Psychological Society as Level A & B qualified in psychometric testing. Cathryn is a licensed Career Coach with Fireworks Coaching Company which offers a structured career transition programme for those at a career crossroads. She has recently completed a Certificate in Training and Continuing Education from NUI Maynooth.
Cathryn is an associate consultant to the global outplacement company DBM and has also coached individuals from a broad range of organisations including Bristol-Myers Squibb Pharmaceuticals, Pfizer Pharmaceuticals, Bank of Ireland, Intel, Symantec and Accenture.
Arlene Egan (Associate Consultant)
Arlene is a performance coach, whose work focuses on facilitating individuals and teams in goal achievement in a variety of areas including education, sport, career transition, business coaching and daily life.
Over the past 12 years, Arlene has been developing and enhancing her skill-set through her work in psychology, where she has high level experience in research, teaching, programme development and course delivery. She has worked in a variety of third level institutions, with a number of start-up companies and with a range of private clients. Most recently, Arlene has become regularly involved with a sports team as their psychological performance coach and has also been directly involved in return to work events where she has coached on aspects of self-motivation, self-re-defining and clear goal-setting.

From her specialisation in critical thinking and effective thought strategies and her experiences working with a variety of groups, Arlene employs a novel and fresh approach in facilitating the move from goal-setting to gaol-getting. Arlene’s training in psychology ensures her competence in psychological needs identification from which she understands the best way to help others motivate themselves for positive change and overall life enhancement. Arlene’s coaching doctrine is centred on the idea that with true self-belief anything can be attained. Her style when coaching is open, friendly, supportive, clear, challenging and forward thinking.
Arlene holds an honours degree in Psychology from UCD, after which her postgraduate work focused on the practical application of psychology to real world challenges. Her MLITT in Sports Psychology from UCD saw her develop an approach to help individuals overcome a specific fear, develop self-confidence and create their own positive thought strategies. Through her PhD in Cognitive Psychology, also from UCD , she has developed programmes designed to increase effective and critical thinking strategies for many different groups. Arlene has also received a Diploma in Life and Business Coaching and is an active member of the Psychology Society of Ireland.
